Changquan Basic Set No.3
Changquan (Longfist style) originated from Northern style Chinese boxing and is characterised by long, low stances and wide sweeping arm movements and strikes.
Key steps in this third basic form are the twisting movements (steps 6 & 7) into the 7 star stance and the drop from high one legged stance (step 8) into the very low solid stance in step 9. Much more flexibility and balance is required in this set but this comes with practice.
